I’m Steven, a coach who has surfed internationally in over 8 different countries, and I’m ready to ride the waves with you in my home country, Costa Rica. I started giving lessons at age 13 as a way to make money to buy new surf boards and it’s the most rewarding job! Now I teach all ages including kids and seniors because I like to show people that there’s another way to live, destress, and recharge your energy to improve your day to day life. I also teach all levels including advanced. I have a boat so we can go to secret surf spots and I can guide you as you surf the best waves in the peninsula. For beginners and intermediates, we can start where you feel comfortable and discuss your motivations and goals. Since I’m a local to this area, I understand the tides and zones of the ocean here, which is very important. With patience and knowledge, I’ll teach you the 3 key things to learn for surf, which are: 1. How to stay safe and have confidence in the ocean 2. How to feel secure with your equipment 3. Practice! Beginner's Surf Lesson in Paradise

Before learning any techniques, you'll learn how to survive in the water. After this, we'll go over basic techniques according to your level. We'll cover theory and then do a warm up with basic exercises. Next, we'll practice in the sand. When you're ready and you feel confident, we'll go to the white water.

Vive la Experiencia of Intermediate Surf!

You will live the experience of the waves in the Pacific Ocean of Costa Rica! Surf a diversity of beach breaks, point breaks, and reef breaks in the Nicoya Peninsula. In this intermediate lesson, you will learn techniques for survival in the ocean, how to read the waves, pop up at the right time, and the techniques for turning (sideways left and right), and specific techniques for intermediate surfers to safely be in the lineup.

Surf Guiding in Dreamy Waves

Surf guiding is perfect company to share local knowledge of all the surrounding surf spots we have in the Nicoya Peninsula. You'll be in good company to increase your confidence in a new surf spot in the beautiful tropics. We'll have lots of fun and I'll introduce you to all the local spots. I'll give you some feedback to perfect your surf technique.
