I call myself a free surfer instead of a surf coach because I teach what I know. And surf is freedom! When I was 11, some people who visited left behind their boards with me and I took them out to the water every day until I learned how to surf. In lessons, I will explain how to surf based on your form, ask about your preferences in the water, teach you about the beach we’re surfing at so you can stay safe, and will also teach you how to choose the best board for you. I like to work with people who really want to learn and are serious about surfing. I am dedicated to surfing because to me it means being free and happy…it’s all about good vibes. It’s like being in love. I am level 2 ISA certified and am a lifeguard. Are you ready to do the best sport in the world? Let’s go!

Beginner’s Lesson in Paradise

Solo • Public group • Private group

First we’ll learn the foundations, the most important part: We will learn to understand the ocean and her currents, along with her risks and how to stay safe. I'll teach you all about safety in general and how to stay safe when near rocks, how to understand different types of breaks, etc. You will learn how to use your board very well. You’ll learn how to carry the board, manage it, how to maneuver it with the currents, how to control it within the waves. Once you have this information down, we’ll learn how to paddle and standup. The lesson can be 1.5 hours-2 hours depending on your preferences.

Advancing to Intermediate

Solo • Public group • Private group

In this lesson, you'll advance your beginner skills and make it to the intermediate level with proper paddling, turtle rolls, and much more! Learn about the ocean including the direction of the waves and when a wave is coming. Learn the rules in the water, etiquette, how to perform around other people, and how to make space for everyone to have a turn. You'll start to read the waves, and learn three techniques: drop in, bottom turn, and how to create speed. That's only scratching the surface, we'll also learn how to curve back and come out of the water properly! Are you ready?

Riding the Advanced Waves of Town

Solo • Public group • Private group

This lesson is for people who already know how to surf and need little support in the water. Instead, I’ll be here to watch and correct you. We will explore special places that only advanced surfers can surf at. First, I’ll show you the spots to go to and explain the direction of the swell in detail. I’ll show you all the breaks, point breaks, and places you can surf. Then I’ll teach you how to read other people nearby. We’ll watch the wave and drop in and then I’ll share small corrections. Things like making sure you’re not leaning too much forward and that you’re standing up correctly. Let’s go!

It was our first surflesson ever. Weyser showed us the basics on the beach and after we had the chance to try it in the sea. He has a great knowledge about surfing and his teaching-style is fantastic. We had a lot of fun, surfing with Weyser.
