Hola, pura vida! I’m Yenory!

I grew up in Matapalo on the beautiful Osa Peninsula . I came to Santa Teresa in 2000, when there were no cars, but only horses running around. Here is where I’ve learned how to surf 20 years ago and it became my favourite surf beach, as I know all its details like in my own backyard. It gives me all the confidence while surfing and teaching.

Surfing makes me feel complete, like I don’t need anything else in the world — I’m simply happy, grateful and relaxed.

I did my first ISA & Lifeguard certifications in 2012. Since then, I learned many different techniques for any surf levels and board types. That’s what I love about teaching, I keep learning!

When teaching, it is important to be patient, to always stay positive and to listen to your students. In this way you can create fantastic experiences. Each student is individual and you need to be flexible in order to adapt and to know which technique and information is most suitable for a specific situation.

Surfing is life changing and I love to share this wonderful experience with anyone that wants to learn it.
